Does God exist? Introduction God’s existence cannot be attested or disproved; in fact, the Bible indicates that human beings are expected to accept his existence through faith. Therefore, without faith, there is no way one can please and they would not believe that He exists. Moreover, if God made a decision of revering Himself to the world in order to attest to his existence, there would be no need for faith (Adamson, 2013). This paper focuses on drawing necessary ideas from literatures in order to support the notion that indeed God does exist. Arguments Scientists have an assertion that the universe was developed through a massive explosion of energy accompanied with light, and this process was termed as the Big Bang (Adamson, 2013). In fact, they contend this incidence led to the beginning of everything that exists. This refers to the beginning of the universe, space and the beginning of time. Nevertheless, this theory does not explain the beginning of the living creatures in the Universe, given that this cannot be associated with the motion, which was caused by this cosmic explosion. Therefore, the universe did not just flash into being, and there is no chance of explaining all this things through the cosmic explosion. In this case, the best explanation that can give a credible explanation is the creation theory, which is described in the Bible. In fact, this offered a relevant explanation regarding existence of God, whereby he is regarded as the creator of all living things. Another proof that God exist relate to the argument derived from design, which is referred to as “the teleological argument” (Adamson, 2013). In fact, this argument is based on the ideas of design that seeks to justify existence of God on the order of the universe. Moreover, if there were no God, the universe would not have been different in the way it is now. Instead, it could have had various laws of physics that would lead to different arrangement of planets and stars. Therefore, the creation of the universe could have been more powerful or weaker compared to the narration of the Big Bang. In addition, existence of God offers a vast majority of the possible universes, which offer existence of life, thereby making people fortunate in their lives. In this case, the perception towards the world has no way of giving an explanation to the good fortunes; thus, the atheists are expected to put the notion down to chance. Another proof indicates that there is a moral argument that can be derived in justification of existence of God. In fact, this moral argument focuses on proving the existence of God based on the moral laws, which are in form of commands. In fact, these moral commands are able to direct people to do the things they are expected to accomplish. Nevertheless, there are no commands without a commander, who is charged with the responsibility of commanding people to live morally. Therefore, this can be based on the idea of authoritative nature of morality, whereby commands are authoritative. In this case, authority goes beyond human authority, thereby giving rise for a need of a commander, who has authority that transcends human authority. Existence of moral laws leads to the notion that illustrates that there is existence of a greater being compared to any of the creations in the universe. Similarly, this is a vital argument that seeks to support the notion of existence of God. An Objection The arguments face objections due to the arguments developed through scientific theories regarding the creation of the universe. Therefore, the scientists explain their ideas through the Big Bang theory that suggests that the universe was created through a cosmic explosion. However, this theory does not account for all the creation of other living things in the universe. In this case, this argument can be considered a misrepresentation of ideas relating to creation of the universe. There is a substantial objection posed by Gaunilo of Marmoutier, though he fails to identify specifics with their arguments. In fact, they establish an argument indicating that there are faults with the notion of God’s existence. Moreover, he argues that there is no logic of proving things without conviction of being true. In addition, these arguments offer a basis of developing a notion that is based on ontological argument, which focuses on proving the existence of the perfect Island. On the other hand, there is another objection by Immanuel Kant, whereby he argues that there is no aspect of ‘real predicate’ in the notion of God’s existence. Moreover, he asserts that ontological argument of God’s existence is confusing through the assertion that God exist and He is greater than a God, who does not exist. In addition, he contends that God’s existence is not a predicate, a possession that one can acquire or lack. Reply Nevertheless, the opponent of these arguments seems to ignore the fact that they should explain the existence of the other living things. Moreover, existence of God can also be justified by people’s beliefs, which influence them and make them form religious groups. In these groups, they get a chance of worshiping God; thus, there are numerous people with a conviction of God’s existence. Therefore, the notion of Gods existence is real, and there are numerous factors support His existence. On the other hand, the scientists have to believe that their ideas are not adequate to foster understanding of non-existence of God. Conclusion The paper has explored a relevant idea that seeks to justify existence of God, whereby evidence has been drawn from the Bible and other materials that relate to the topic. In this case, the paper has provided ample evidence to support the notion of God’s existence. Some of the arguments that have been raised include the creation theory through an evaluation of the Big Bang and the creation theory. In this case, the Big Bang theory is out done by the creation theory, which is more credible through an explanation of existence of the universe. Other justifications including miracles performed by Jesus Christ have an evidence of power of God and “the teleological argument.” Finally, the paper has explained the existence of God based on the moral arguments that assert that people behave under directive of a superior being who is God.
