The motion moves up and down between two extremes. The maximum displacement is called the amplitude. When a spring is hanging vertically with no mass, it has a given length. When the mass was added the length changed. Every spring also has a spring constant. The periodic time also reduces as the as the length of the rod of the pendulum was reduced. There were some errors that occurred when carrying out the experiment, this lead to the inaccuracy of the various values and graphs drawn.
