The Council will strive to comply with regulations laid down by the County's legal systems as well as by all the international conventions dealing with the environmental protection in the EU countries. The aim of the Council is to attain the maximum standards prescribed for the protection of environment in respect of Waste Management.
As proclaimed in the Environmental policy in order to ensure that the compliance with the various environmental regulations are kept up to date and also to educate the staff of the Council on the importance of the Environmental protection, the Council has strengthened the 'Department of Environmental Protection' by increasing the scope of the department with more number of staff appointed there for.
