An amount of almost $362 million has been spent by the helping nation which has saved over 20,000 flood victims in Pakistan (Ignatius). Moreover, the United States has also been providing an amount of around $3 billion every year to Israel (McArthur). The assistances being offered to Israel are in the name of Foreign Military Financing, Economic Support Funds and Migration and Refugee assistance (McArthur). The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic has humbly accepted that the United States is primarily responsible for improving the fledgling state’s military, legal system and police of the country (Lake). In the words of Mr. Djukanovic, “The United States has helped us with our police, our court system and helped us get our military prepared for NATO,” (Lake).
While addressing the UN summit on the Millennium Development Goals, the US President, Mr. Obama declared that aiding the deprived countries was an important aspect of the US national interest (“Obama Promises”). Mr. Obama commented, “In our global economy, progress in even the poorest countries can advance the prosperity and security of people far beyond their borders, including my fellow Americans.” (“Obama Promises”). ...
