In order to operate the StudentShare.org Services and to reduce the risk of fraud, StudentShare.org.com can ask You to provide StudentShare.org with information about Yourself, which might be confidential.

User personal information may be accessed by a limited number of StudentShare.org employees, affiliates, contractors, agents, service providers, services, financial and banking institutions requiring such access in connection with the operation of the Mobile app and StudentShare.org Services. If required, the relationship of StudentShare.org to such persons shall be governed by an agreement containing the appropriate provisions and undertakings related to confidentiality and protection of personal information.

User personal data and information can be disclosed by StudentShare.org to the third parties to protect, establish or exercise the legitimate rights of StudentShare.org, Visitors, Users and/or any third party, to enforce its claims, subpoena, court order, judgment or ruling, in connection with the legitimate requirements of authorities, or if StudentShare.org believes that such a disclosure is required for law enforcement, prevention of eventual physical damage or financial loss, investigation, prevention of illegal activities, fraud, threats to the property, as well as upon violation of the Terms of Use.

Depending on the specific circumstances, StudentShare.org may acquire and dispose of the assets and become a party to, or the subject of such transaction as a sale, merger, liquidation, assignment, and transfer of all or certain assets of StudentShare.org to the third parties. In such cases, Your personal information may become one of the transferred assets. Users agree that in these circumstances they authorize StudentShare.org to transfer such information about Users at StudentShare.org discretion without notice. Personal information of third parties

StudentShare.org shall not be responsible for the personal information of third parties, disclosed and/or posted by Users on the Mobile app, as well as its confidentiality, integrity, and the consequences of its unlawful use by unauthorized third parties. The responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality and security of such information shall rest solely with the User who disclosed or posted the same. If StudentShare.org receives from User any personal data of the third parties, StudentShare.org agrees to use such information only for the purposes for which it was disclosed or provided to StudentShare.org.

In some cases, StudentShare.org may receive or collect the personal information of non-users of the Mobile app and Services of StudentShare.org, including, but not limited to, when such a person:

subscribes to various newsletters of the Mobile app;
receives an invitation from the Mobile app User to visit the Mobile app;
takes part in the Services provision.

Such personal information shall be used by StudentShare.org only for the purposes for which it was provided to StudentShare.org and can be removed at the discretion of StudentShare.org by request of such persons to delete such information submitted to the Mobile app User Support Service.

The Mobile app may contain links to the other resources on the Internet. By accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy, the Users agree that StudentShare.org is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such resources.

Emails from StudentShare.org

In some cases, StudentShare.org may contact you regarding Your activity while using the Mobile app by sending You a message. Some of these messages are service messages mandatory for You, and the other messages may not be mandatory and You can opt out of receiving them by changing the settings on Your account page on the Mobile app. Your can terminate the receipt of service messages only after deletion of the user account on the Mobile app. These messages can be sent to You to the email address specified by You or to Your account page on the Mobile app.

Both the Users and non-users can subscribe to the email newsletters from the Mobile app (including, but not limited to, marketing, advertising, discount, promotional, news, etc.). If required, the Users can opt out of certain mailings and cancel the subscription by modifying the settings on its account page on the Mobile app. The non-users may unsubscribe following instructions contained in the letter received as a part of such mailing.

How we protect Your personal information

StudentShare.org uses the physical, technical, software and administrative means to protect Your personal information from unauthorized access and use, including in the course of its transmission and acceptance.

Unfortunately, no data transmission by means of the Mobile app can be guaranteed to be completely secure. As a result, although StudentShare.org will utilize such measures, StudentShare.org does not guarantee You against the loss, misuse, or alteration of personal information under our control, and You provide personal information to StudentShare.org at Your own risk. You should always take care of how You handle and disclose Your personal information and should avoid sending Personal Information through insecure e-mail, social networks or other Internet channels.

Retention and Disposal

StudentShare.org retains information only for as long as StudentShare.org has a business or tax need or as applicable laws, regulations and/or government orders allow. When StudentShare.org disposes personal information, StudentShare.org uses reasonable procedures designed to erase or render it unreadable (for example, shredding documents and wiping electronic media).

Your rights to Your personal information

You can view and edit Your personal information at any time in Your account settings on the Mobile app.

Your right to delete Your account

You can initialize deletion of Your account on the Mobile app by sending us a relevant request to support@studentshare.org. If Your account on the Mobile app is deleted, such account will be marked as deleted, and StudentShare.org will keep Your personal information and data only if required to comply with our legal obligations, obtaining of remedies due to StudentShare.org, dispute resolution, enforcement of rights of StudentShare.org, Users, Visitors and any third party, any investigation, to prevent the unlawful acts, to enforce the provisions of the Terms of Use and to perform the actions stipulated by legislation.

Password

Your password deserves careful thought and protection. Use unique numbers, letters, and special characters and do not disclose Your password to anyone. If You do share Your password or Your personal information with others, remember that You are responsible for all actions taken in the name of Your account. If You lose control of Your password, You may lose substantial control over Your personal information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on Your behalf. If Your password has been compromised for any reason, You should immediately access Your profile on the Mobile app to change Your password and notify us immediately at support@studentshare.org

Amendments to Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be amended at any time at the discretion of StudentShare.org. An updated and valid version of the Privacy Policy shall be published on the Mobile app. The revised version of the Privacy Policy shall be effective from the date of its publication on the Mobile app. In this regard, You agree to monitor the relevance of the Privacy Policy regularly and review its current version.
