It is also identified that these types of individuals have identical cognitive perceptions as well as thinking at times of stressful situations and conditions. In this respect, various researchers, as well as therapists, have adopted strategies and concepts on the basis of which, effective treatments and measures can be undertaken in order to minimize their psychological dysfunctional issues; and likewise, stabilize their cognitive conditions as well as abilities. In this context, articulated thoughts have emerged to be of great importance in order to understand the various aspects and situations, which are accountable for stress and cognitive dysfunctioning of that particular individual (O'Donohue & Fisher, 2009; Stekeler-Weithofer, 2008).

Theoretically, disputation is signified as a process on the basis of which, stress and dysfunctional behavior of individuals are identified under specific situations. This kind of dysfunctional behavioral trait is further observed to increase the level of stress and anxiety among individuals. In this respect, medical interventions are often planned to deliver counseling and other required assistance to these individuals in a verbal as well as the non-verbal manner in order to support them in interpreting as well as conveying their feelings in a clear and unambiguous manner (Campbell & Corns, 2008).

In the present day context, Articulated Thought Disputation (ATD) has been introduced as an unconventional methodology of treating stress caused due to dysfunctional thoughts. The methodology is principally a combination of articulated thoughts and disputations, which aims at assisting individuals to recover from their psychological stress and dysfunctional behavioral limitations. With the assistance of ATD, medical professionals have often argued that more comprehensive and effective assistance can be rendered to the patients of psychological dysfunction and stressed individuals (Campbell & Corns, 2008; Weyde, 2000).

However, as the methodology is an unconventional approach, only limited numbers of studies have been conducted to confirm its applicability in the modern-day context. Correspondingly, the proposed study has been planned with the aim of determining the various aspects as well as information, which will provide in-depth knowledge about ATD, assisting in reducing stress. Based on the proposed study, a few precise objectives, as well as research questions, will be formulated, which are to be accomplished on the basis of analyzed findings to be obtained from the proposed study.

This proposed qualitative study will be executed with the intention of determining the relationship, which exists between the successful utilization of ATD and the process on the basis of which, reduction of stress, related to dysfunctional thought processes, can be possible. The qualitative research approach has been proposed in this research plan, in correspondence to the determined research objectives and research questions. In this proposed study, primary as well as secondary data will be collected. ...Download file to see next pages Read More
