Human personality Introduction Personality constitutes all characteristics, thoughts, patterns, emotions and feelings, which dictate how a person is unique. The personality of an individual originates from his innermost heart and is practiced consistently throughout his life. Personality is talked about everyday within environments. What has ironically remained contrastive is the human behavior, which is considered similar to what is carried out by the psychologists. According to most psychologists, attention of human personality tends to be based on individual aspect. Psychologists, however, tend to dwell on all aspects that are significantly felt by everyone. This is what has led to the development of numerous theories that give explanations as to how characteristic and traits of human personality are developed (Mahoney 40). As human beings, it is absolutely difficult for scientists to visualize everything except thorough human perception and conceptualized human understanding. Besides, as people tend to embrace how much is actually clear concerning science, much more avenues of knowledge are expanded. Considerably, the most important thing is psychology which tends to envisage on how human personality entails. Theories of personality exist interdependently with philosophy, science and art. Philosophy in this case just constitutes the in-depth ideas while science relates to the physical tests of human empirical behaviors and conduct. Additionally, philosophy focuses on academic tasks that cannot be directly and physical visualized. The absolute importance in this scenario is that, science cannot exist independently since it is absolutely dependent on philosophic work. For instance, observation in science is absolutely important as there is no articulate evidence for empiricism (Mahoney 37). Several assumptions have been put in place, which tries to explain the personality theory. However, major focus is relayed on epistemology, morality and relationality. Most psychologists assume that, human determinations are completely unpredictable as they are capable of doing anything arbitrary as per each and every specific person’s action. With this respect, all personality theories combine all forms of self determinism differently. Personality with respect to nature A long time ago, it was assumed that, there is a possibility of dividing individuals in to four personality types. This argument was placed forward due to dominancy of some fluids in the body. Haphazardly, trying to fit those classes of individuals into the their respective groups had proven to be a challenge due to the fact that somebody can be created without being an extrovert and can still be companionate without being sarcastic. According to Freud, people often conflate sub consciousness with unconsciousness. In his case, he confirms that in every aspect of subconscious want of a person, the individual self think is always a bad idea. Therefore, instead of using too much energy in pursuant to issues, which are not constructive in life, we should direct such energy in a way that is acceptable to the basic consciousness and the society itself (Hurley 45). Personality in relation to thoughts and development Personality constitutes enduring personal characteristics of a person. It involves all the aggregate factors ideas that a person makes throughout his entire life. In general, personality of an individual is best developed in consideration to the genes and environmental constraints. Most notably, inherited traits are said to make contributions on how a persons develops his personality in consideration to how a person makes interactions in any particular social environment or residence. According to Jung, personal relations cannot be classified as inherited traits of personality instead; they form part of arts or social science that can be viewed to have the importance of the fundamental image of a business, firms, an occasion or a person. Jung further emphasized that it is highly essential to have a balance between the aspects of personality. In his view, he perceives that an individual who only considers just one aspect of life is a summed to be psychologically unhealthy and is deemed to create too much anxiety in their lives. Therefore being conversant with additional alternatives for instance human feminine side of a man or woman’s masculine is very much essential for mature functioning. Jung’s’ concept of self personality and development was introduced by collective aspect of individuality. In Lung’s theory he divided psychological self into four parts for instance the collective conscious that is the individual face. Additionally, the theory also explained about the human ego, the unknown individuality, which is perceived to exist and cultural archetypes. Jung was however deterministic with the human mental development and he insisted that relationships always correlate to events. Given example, somebody may dream that her aunt is dead, only to get information the following day that she actually died (Mittal 30). Personality abnormalities Personality and abnormality are best described as enduring patterns experienced inside a person associated by rigid characters that exposes a person to constant conflicts in regard to his social or occupational environments. Each and every person is presumed to have definite personality, which contributes to conducts and how individual expresses emotions in relation to another person. When such behavior becomes extreme and misguided they amount to personality abnormality. Such conditions are first felt during the early stages of childhood, but are furthered into an individual life at adulthood. Amongst the causes that attribute to personality disorder such trauma, emotion or mental can basically be felt very early during childhood, but the effects are translated when an individual has fully grown up. Such kinds of persons get inferences, which may cause danger to themselves and to their fellow colleagues (Vesley 88). The behaviorism of personality abnormality has been explained by psychologists such as, Bandura who assumed that human behavior is caused by past events and histories. In Bandura’s theories, the concept of empiricism behavior has been denied. The concept explained what is to be human, but instead focused much of his concept of agency to the environment. Another psychologist, Sullivan, placed much primacy to the environment as the major causes of human behavior. Because he had much focus on social interactions, he was described as interpersonal behaviorist (Vesley 88). Change and treatment Personality abnormality such as paranoid makes a person to develop suspicion and distrust amongst colleagues. Such persons tend to be very curious on the movements of others. This type of abnormality makes people take roles of people either deceitfully or maybe in a harmful way. They are characterized by holding much grudges and are very provocative to ignite violence. The basic mode of treatment for such a person is psychotherapy, which involves counseling the patient with an attempt of giving an exposure about the disorder. During such period, the patient would learn about how to control his moods and feeling while dealing with others (Vesley 307). Another personality abnormality is dependant disorder. Individuals suffering from such disorders are characterized by having a lot of fear for themselves. They often have a tendency of submissive behavior with very limited intention of hurting others. Such patients seek for direction since they cannot develop ideas on their own. They are subjected to anti-psychotic drugs, which helps in restoration of their capability to cope up with others. Additionally, some people suffer from histrionic personality abnormality, which makes them angry towards attention and very aggressive when it comes to emotions and drama. Such patients would always want to draw the attention of others as very humble while exposing a lot of conflicts in return. They are often associated with dramatization with abusive effect when it comes to flattery (Vesley 377). Conclusion So many theories which explain personality have not been proved so far. However, agreement has been drawn in regard to the quality of personality. Besides, research has made it clear that personality is unique on each individual and each and every person possesses his own characteristics. Works cited: Hurley, Susan.
