ID Lecturer Sexual Dysfunction A kind of sexual dysfunction that exists within males but affects thefemales nonetheless is the erectile dysfunction. It is also known as ‘impotence’ and is referred to as the ‘daremonsta’. Erectile dysfunction is basically a sexual disorder or sexual malfunction that can arise during any stage of the sexual act and prevents the individual or couple from enjoying sexual activity. This sexual dysfunction is on the whole typified by the incapability of the human being to develop as well as maintain an erection of the penis for satisfactory sexual activity or intercourse without bringing to notice the ability that is related with ejaculation.

However, for erectile dysfunction to take place there can be a number of causes to support this. This could include disease of diabetes as well as a number of others, where the majority of the same are medically reversible to quite a fair enough extent. Erectile Dysfunction is a disease which independently finds out the severe form of coronary heart disease found mostly in men who are under the suspicion of cardiovascular diseases. Investigators have determined the extent of this hypothesis and thus built upon their understanding on the same aspect (Bancroft, 1999).

The treatment of this disorder really depends upon the cause and it varies patient to patient. It has been seen that testosterone supplements can be made use of for some cases which have hormonal deficiencies. But on more accounts than one it has been seen that the cause of the same is the lack of sufficient amount of penile blood supply that is due to the age-dependent damage related with the inner walls enclosed in the blood vessels. In yesteryears, medical substances including the apomorphine were directly inoculated in the erectile tissues of the penile shaft in order to treat for erectile dysfunction or impotence.
