Sexual Techniques It is necessary to take into consideration the fact that sex plays a very important role in human life. It is one of the factors that make human life complete and happier. There are two major sexual techniques that are discussed in the chapter readings: 1) solitary sexual behaviour and 2) sexual behaviour with others. Each of these techniques can be subdivided into several types. Thus, solitary sexual behaviour may include the following types of sexual conduct: masturbation and the use of fantasy.

Sexual behaviour with others means one or several of the following conducts: 1) foreplay, 2) kissing, 3) touching, 4) stimulation of the breasts and 5) oral – genital stimulation. It should be stressed that human organism is very sensitive and reacts to anything that appeals to some sort of feelings. That is why kissing, touching and foreplay are closely connected. Their role is practically the same – to make the partner to have sexual intercourse. Kissing can be distinguished as the first stage of sexual behaviour.

It is necessary to make the partner understand that you are ready to become closer to him/her. In case if the individual does not mind, then it is possible to start touching. It is the next stage of sexual intercourse. Then foreplay comes. It is the last thing done before having sex. It may be called a preparatory stage. As a rule, it consists of kissing, touching, hugging and all other things that make the partner have desire. Sex is one of human necessity. That is why a lot of people who do not have a partner decide to masturbate.

According to statistics, very few married people resort to the use of this sexual technique. Even if they used to do so before their marriage, their lifestyle is changed because there is a partner to have sex in any time. There is a point of view that masturbation is acceptable for lonely people. ReferencesHuman sexuality in a world of diversity (Sixth ed.). (2005). Pearson Education, Inc.
