Anna an adolescent is involved in an in a relationship with a man who is three years older than she is. She is worried about how her parents feel about her boyfriend.

Her mother warns her that the older man she is dating might take advantage of her. A therapist’s instruction to Anna on sexual decision making process involves a number of things. This may include a logic basis for arriving to an informed decision by the Anna. The purpose of this therapy may be to make Anna understand the possible results of a single sexual encounter with her boyfriend. The therapist should emphasize and state clearly the decision Anna should consider. He should also focus on the reasons why Anna is involved with the boyfriend Adolescents are prone to peer pressure and uninformed decision.

There should be enough information passed to her during the session on sexuality and the effects of human sexuality. This information is supposed to be from all sources for it to be well delivered to Anna. He can also emphasize the consequences of Anna’s sexuality to her future, present and of course to her mother who had warned her severally. The choices Anna makes may have some sort of implication to her physical, intellectual and emotional being so she should be advised to make certain considerations before she makes any dramatic moves in her sexuality.

Motivation is very vital at this point in therapy; this may help her exercise control and know what she is capable of. Eventually the therapy should sum up the session and inform Anna on how to be responsible and feel comfortable about herself and be open to her mother so that she may not be worried for her sexual wellbeing and her life in general (Manisha, 1974). On the other hand, Tom and Susan who is an elderly couple have a slight problem in their sexual life. Susan is anxious that Tom may not be able to perform in his age.

The purpose for the therapy is to make it known to both couples that the happiness in sex and love has no age barriers. The myth that older people do not enjoy sex is a wrong mentality and they may end up missing out in this form of pleasurable moment. Susan and Tom should both be informed on how different they may have turned out over the years but that should not deter any of them from loving each other more. These physical and psychological changes may include less erection for men and menopause for women which in the end may result in low libido in women too.

To enhance both should learn to stimulate each other manually. These issues addressed during the session should be able to adjust the mentality of the couple and eventually lead to joy in sex for them (Nye, 1999). Bill who is paralyzed waist down suffers from a disease known as paraplegia. The therapist should inform Bill that healthy sexuality should involve love, tenderness and affection and not only the physical contact of the genitals. For paralytic men it is possible for one to erect if there is contact of the penis and the erogenous parts like the neck, ear and nipples.

This erection is involuntary and one can even reach an orgasm. So Bill should not entirely think that since he lost sensation he may not exactly enjoy sex. He may also advise him to use numerous treatments for his sakes and his partner’s satisfaction.
