Extract of sample "The Interaction Between Man and Woman"

]She bowed her head as she approached the man. She then uttered apologies to the man. The man reassured her that he had not waited long, and there was nothing to worry about, but the woman kept on apologizing. It is evident that her anxiety and uneasiness remained even after the man’s reassurances.

The woman may be unaware of transferring these feelings to the man. It is evident from their interaction that she felt anxious upon letting the man wait for a prolonged period of time.

Perhaps, she feared that the man will disapprove of her or will no longer like her. This may reflect her past desire to be given approval by her father or primary caregiver. Transference is manifested as the woman’s reaction is out of proportion to the situation. She remained uneasy in spite of the reassurances of the man. In normal circumstances, the woman should feel at ease immediately after the man reassured her that he had not waited long.
