Extract of sample "Aggression and Social Norms"

This is dehumanization because degrading of people is taking place within such a scenario. What is even worse is the fact that this dehumanization has come from people who do not indulge in such gay acts yet are considered straight within their sexual orientations. With an understanding of behaviorism, what is even more significant is how adequately unreasonable is the people’s response towards this couple. Indeed it is a social construct for the people at large because the response is over the top and the couple feels the pinch for the same (Himma, 2004).

Prejudice is apparent from this situation because the couple is not being given its due and the behavior of the people around them are making it look all the more difficult in the long run. Such aspects need to be properly understood before the highest form of prejudice is subjected to them. This is the reason why aggression and dehumanization are always negated within any society of the world. In essence, aggression does not work to a good effect under such a scenario and it will only be fitting if such norms are taken care of by the elders of the society.
