Psychological View of LovePart 1: Experiment An experiment is a procedural trials and error testing method that is usually carried out to verify or falsify a goal, an objective, or estimate the validity of hypothesis. Notably, experiments vary tremendous in scale and goal. Experiments also rely on repeatable procedures that are followed by logical analysis of the result. For instance, a kid may carry out a simple experiment with the objective of understanding the nature of gravity (Sharma & Sharma 26).

On the other hand, a team of committed scientists may be engaged in a systematic investigation with the aim of understanding a given phenomenon. The basics of experiments are to test given goals towards explaining some reality of nature. Experiments have different designs. Some experiments are comparative in nature; in this case, varied treatments are applied in estimating the difference between experiment’s mean responses, and they involve qualitative variables. The scientific methods are employed in experiments in that they help in clarifying an explanation or a hypothesis.

Hypotheses are statements that suggest reasons that are intended to explaining phenomenon, or predicting the result of an experiment. A defined hypothesis is followed by an experiment, which is carried out with the objective of obtaining results that are analyzed to either refute or confirm the hypotheses (Sharma & Sharma 78).Scientific methods involve experimental steps that arbitrate between competing hypotheses or models. Moreover, some experimentation is often used in testing new hypotheses or theories with the aim of approving or disapproving the same.

Tests that are carried out in line with the scientific methods are usually aiming at answering or investigating problems (Sharma & Sharma 314). The first step is the observation that involves asking questions and data collection that includes independent or dependent variables. Independent variables are that do need supportive information as opposed dependent variables. Data collection involves functions of the "experimental group" or "control group”, who provides information need for the experiment.

It is worth noting that data may be randomly selected or assigned. This helps proper representation of the entire group from small information collected. This leads to the formation of hypothesis. The hypotheses are usually tested by carrying out experiments. Finally, the obtained data are analyzed this leads to making scientific conclusion. Sometimes the results may lead to theories both of which are communicated through research papers. A well conducted experiment normally disapproves or supports the formulated hypothesis (Sharma & Sharma 192).

Part 2: Neuron Neurons are nerve cells that are the fundamental building units of the nervous system. They resemble other human body cells in numerous ways; however, they have one major difference between neurons and other cells. That is they specifically transmit information to throughout the human body. These cells communicate the information in both electrical and chemical form. Notably, different neuron has different functions. The sensory neurons usually carry information to the brain from the sensory receptors.

Motor neurons send message signals to the body muscles from the brain. Interneurons communicate information between different neutrons within the body (Fain 80). Neurons are segmented into three major parts; the cell body, dendrites, and the axon. Neurons often vary in shapes, sizes, and characteristics with regards to the role and function of each neuron. Some of them have few dendritic branches as compared to those that receive a great deal of information. Others have short axon compared to others.

The longest axon extends from the spine bottom to the big toe (Fain 357).The dendrites obtain information from other neurons or sensory receptors. The information is then passed to axon and other body cells. The information is then transmitted downwards through electrical signals also referred to action potential. On reaching an axon end, the electric impulses, then transmit information to the disjoining neuron dendrites from across the synaptic gap. Sometimes, the electric signs often instantaneously narrow the gap between the continued along its path and neutrons.

Notably, once information has been triggered they are transmitted throughout the body or to the intended parts of the body (Fain 200).Works CitedFain L. Molecular and cellular physiology of neurons.
