Psychology Evolutionary psychology and comedians have significantly developed in the recent past. These two factors have blossomed considering that; evolutionary psychology has the exceptional ability of exploring the humans’ nature in relation to the globe. On the other hand, comedians are said to perform acts that give a window into an individual’s nature. This article will provide thoughts and reactions towards the article provided. Conventional wisdom and recent research carried out by the evolutionary psychology depict that something is funny because it is true.

Moreover, research about humor turns out to be quite prolific. Humor is quite advantageous as studied by recent humor researchers; however, it comes with its costs. Laughter can be a lively encouragement for predators and can also consume the metabolic energy of the human body. Laughter happens to be categorized as a manifestation of humor diverse in all individuals and occurs in all cultures. Each and every individual has the ability to perceive laughter and even produce it. Non-human animals like the chimpanzees and most of the ape family group exhibit signs of humor.

Other analysts also claim that primates e.g. rats also show a humor characteristic.Humor promotes a number of life happenings like the opposite sex friendships, courtship and signals commonly shared knowledge. In terms of courtship, humor appears to generate a flow according to the sexual selection theory whereby qualities like intelligence, creativity and mental health are adequately presented. Evidence and relevant statistics show that the capability of an individual being humorous depends on the person’s verbal and general intelligence.

In the same way, laughter promotes interaction with friends thereby building stronger friendships. Mostly the feminine gender prefers having funny males around them. Humor also signals commonly shared knowledge and in conventional knowledge, individuals are encouraged to find things funny. Researchers claim that people find things funny since they are facts.Chris Rock; a popular stand-up comedian was named the smartest and funniest comedian who works in the recent age. His comedy centers on politics, sex, marriage, class and race among other controversial topics in the current society.

He maintains his artistic nature since most of his acts are true and make people laugh. Evolutionary psychologists have studied some of the stages in romantic relationships, in conjunction with humor. Some of the aspects include opposite sex friendship, male attraction tactics, parenting, conflict between the partners, infidelity and even divorce there afterwards. Men and women who follow the perspective of the opposite sex friendships are categorized as individuals of the pop culture. Mostly women claim that they have platonic friends whereas; the men look for a stronger preference for sex in the women.

Additionally, mate preferences are determined by similarity in beliefs, values and personality. Mate preferences should be pursued in a rather clear strategy in order for the relationship to last long enough. This factor can also be correlative with the psychology employed. In conclusion, given the abilities of Chris Rock one can stand out in his/ her student life based on factors related to romantic relationships. On the contrary, one can face conflicts with their partners especially in the mating strategy.

This issue leads to development of problems in the parenthood hence leading to divorce that is regarded one of the giant predictors of divorce globally. These HBO specials are closely grounded in humor through the relationship world. Popular culture like Chris Rock’s findings should help the mere individuals in the society who have scarce knowledge on humor. This ensures that they are conversant with these trends.
