Significant aspect of humanistic motivationSignificant aspect of humanistic motivationThe most significant aspect of humanistic motivation differentiating it from Maslow’s hierarchy is the fact that many needs need to be achieved in the daily life of people; the copious and composite goals need to be balanced such that the resources necessary to achieve the goals are available to make this goal satisfactory. This aspect contradicts the Maslow’s hierarchy because it explains that the goals that need satisfaction first to increase motivation are the lower level ones Rakowski (2011).

Without relying on increased rewards or reduced discomforts, motivation comes from outside an individual where there are rein forcers that induce behavioral learning. Motivation especially intrinsic motivation do not need goal attainment so as to become effective, these motivations get reduced by extrinsic motivations. In regard to the study work of Rakowski (2011) motivation become versatile such that it can be modified by introspective reflections so as to fit in the goals of an individual.Appraisal model for emotionally guided decision makingWhen dealing with people in daily life, people feel proud when people around us do something that is worthy reckoning.

Ironically, people become ashamed and angry when a demeaning statement is against them. According to Lazarus (2006) in relating with the people around us, loss undermines the appreciation of life. In such a situation, it is crucial for people to know that daily, the living conditions change. This means that there is the need to appraise their mood so as to fit in the current conditions of the day.The appraisal model according to Lazarus (2006) may help individuals to adapt to current local conditions because, everyday people face new challenges, thus using the appraisal model, one should change their conditions to adapt to the current conditions and survive.
