Effects of Power On Sexuality. Sexuality is a very broad topic. It concerns ; sexual feelingstowards others, sexual feeling and preferences, physical development, reproduction, gender, sexualization, family relationship, body image and many more. It’s broader than sexual intercourse. It entails thoughts, behaviors and feelings directed towards someone and much more. Sexuality is a crucial element which defines whom we are, how we behave and think of ourselves. One reason why we consider human sexuality is because it is the motivational source. Another reason is that there are different challenges involving sexuality, that is; unwanted pregnancies, sexual harassment, sexual transmitted diseases among others. Males tend to be much more “driven” sexually than the other gender. They think about sex much more frequently than the females. Sexuality is different from one person to another. While others get attracted to the opposite gender, others get attracted to both genders. In the meantime others get attracted to the same genders as their own. In any case there exist so much different preferences. There exist a larger percentage of individuals aware of this sexual attraction. They realize later while they are adults. It can be the perfect time to experiment and find your passion when you are young and see whether you are more attracted to men, women or both. Sexual motivation is universal: most adults like to look at bodies and enjoy smelling, touching, and geting touched. Some ethnic groups view breasts as sexual while others do not, and many cultures depart in other ways from Western sexual norms. Some cultures avoid sexual intercourse during menstruation; others do not. Some consider oral sex a routine part of sex; others consider it disgusting. Sexual behavior varies across cultures and historical periods. Sexual expressions. Programs such as sex in the city create the impression that adults are having great sex- and lots of it. One nationwide sample of 18- to 59- years old (Michael et al.,1994) revealed the following findings: • Only one-third of Americans have sex with a partner at least once a week. The other third have sex a few times a month, and the rest has sex less frequently or not at all. • Older people are having most sex as compared to the adults in the mid-to-late twenties. • Married people have sex more often as compared to the singles being it at least two times per week. • People’s tastes are very conservative. Forced sex, sex with strangers, and using drugs to enhance sex are more of the many practices most dislike. Sex at the early years of the relationship is at a high frequency as compared to when the relationship matures (Christopher& Sprecher, 2000). Sex frequency declines after the so called ‘honeymoon year’. And a gradual decline later afterwards which was among the findings of (Call, Sprecher,&Schwartz,1995). There are so many different types of couples, be it; lesbian couples, gay couples and so many other types. The difference is the number of times they get involved in sexual activities. Lesbian couples have had less sex than heterosexual couples, who in turn have less sex than homosexual couples. However, all of these types of couples are equally satisfied with their sexual lives. There are so many differences in the sexual attitudes and behaviors of men and women. This makes men and women to be so different ; Evidences by things like “ women are from venus, and men are from mars (Gray, 1992) . Men and women are different from other mammals in that mammals mate only when the female goes into estrus “heat”. Human females experience menstrual cycles rather than estrus. Like the male counterparts, they are sexually responsive throughout their cycles. Human males and females both initiate sexual activity and they experience similar physiological changes during arousal and orgasm. One well-known difference involves the desire of sexual variety (Schmitt,2003). A high number of men prefer having sex with more than one partner as compared to the high number of women who prefers one partner. Men are ready to accept whichever female orifice available for sex. On average, men have higher rates of masturbation, more frequent sexual fantasies, greater interest in pornography, and a preference for more frequent sex. Married men also report more affairs than married women do. Sexual interest naturally declines with age due to changes that occurs in the body. Man’s desire for sex decreases as they get older because of the decrease in the production of male hormones “testerone”. Some women also experience discomfort in having sex after menopause due to vaginal dryness. This makes the man have a higher sex life than the woman and that’s the reason women prefers marrying men older than their age. Older men express more interest in sex than older women do. A man feels rejected if a woman he loves shows her back on his sexual advances. He also tends to be unhappy if he does not have regular sex. Sometimes they normally try “commercial sex” . Men can do anything for sex no matter how severe are the consequences. Men gets aroused more quickly unlike the women.. They are aroused by the women’s perfumes, cleaverage, sexy legs and so much more. Men becomes detoeled emotionally from their partners immediately after sex due to physiological reactions. Sex is more important to the average man just as food and sleep. Men tend to think of having sex with every woman they come across, whether she is familiar to him or she is a total stranger to him. Men don’t like it when women mention to them stories concerning their previous relationships.they tend to feel threatened. They want to imagine that they are the only ones in a woman’s life even if they know there had been others before them. All men stare to an attractive woman. They all fantasize having sex with them although they don’t take it seriously. Men are not attracted to women’s clothes, hairstyle and make-ups. Although these things are what makes a woman look more attractive. Men are more attracted to a woman’s personality. Those women who behave more responsibly are more attractive to men. Females are highly attracted to men who are physically strong. Strong men give rise to strong off-springs. Women prefer these men because they feel secure being around them. They protect the women and their children from other men. The more powerful a man is, the more the women he sleeps with. Women who are not married dresses more decently in order to attract men, while the married ones are restricted from wearing clothes that suggests an attraction since men are always jealous of their wives. Women dress more romantically only while in the house with their husbands. When a woman was so exposing clothes, people usually term her as a slut. Women have power over men. If a woman directs her interest to a certain man whom she is attracted to, she will definitely win him up and even own him. Men are easily subjective to seduction from any woman. If a woman wears tight exposing clothes, any man cannot pass without throwing an eye on her. Woman can be able to withhold sex at any time unlike men who take a chance to every opportunity that comes up. A woman can stay for long without having sex than men can do. When the desire to have sex increases in the mind of men, it has to be satisfied by the woman of his life and he withholds sex to him, he moves out of the wedlock to go satisfy his needs. Men are naturally weak when it comes to controlling their sexual needs. A man always expects his wife to satisfy his sexual needs whenever the need arises. When a woman denies a man a chance of having sex with her, men always accuse them of seeing someone else outside the wedlock. Men have always been known to have power over their women. A man is comfortable with giving orders than than receiving them from a woman. Bearing this perception in mind, any man who is owned by a woman feels that he is really not a man enough.some women dominate over their men that they even go to extent of outfighting them. Those men continue being humiliated since a man cannot admit the shame of being outfought by a woman. They usually keep it a secret until maybe the worst happens. These men have suffered sexually since they lack the guts to ask their women for sex to avoid irritating them and probably get a beat. The woman has now gotten aware of her powers over a man and they always apply them whenever it demands so. For instance, women use their power for their security purposes for example in sexual harassment by males and when violated inside the house. Women are now effectively responding to violence by men. They have come to realize that they can get a man down by just a simple stroke of his balls. Most scientists have done a lot of research and have come up with many explanations behind sexuality.Sexuality is said to actually begin at birth but actually manifest differently at various stages.At childhood boys are more likely to get erections.They begin touching and caressing the sexual organs and by the time they reach adolescence most boys have tried masturbating either on their own or through playing with their friends.Females tend to masturbate later in their adolescence though they may grow curious about their genitals. At middle age masturbation is less since people tend to get married at that stage. Nevertheless it is likely to occur in cases where a couple has divorced , long term separation, relationship break up where one is left on his or her own and tries to prove that nothing is wrong with them. Masturbation is also common among older people for similar reasons of loneliness. It doesnt have any known effects that may pose a threat to ones health. Humans are said to be sex beings and therefore begin experiencing sexual intercourse at different stages be it heterosexual, homosexual or bisexual. Few males and females remain virgins for the rest of their lives. The age at which sex begins varies across various cultures. i.e. in the UK, studies have concluded that most teenagers engage in sex at the age of 15.It also applies to the rest of the countries where teenagers lose their virginity before attaining the age of 18.Teenagers from fatherless families are more likely to engage in sex below the age of 16. Youngsters tend to that sex is a matter of exploration or adventure therefore having wild and intense sex life every night of the week with different partners. Couples at the middle age on average engage in sex twice a week. After the age of 50 its more likely to be once a week or less but due to improved science and technology even couples at 70s and 80s can continue enjoying sex regularly by use of drugs. There arent any limits as to when one should stop having sex. Power of sexuality categorizes into sexual life and non-sexual realms of the entire life, non-erotic and erotic bodies, normal and deviant desires, privileged but penalized sexual activities. It involves the parts of the body considered sexy, the behaviors considered sexual activity, the people and objects with which one performs sexual activities, the places sexual activities may acceptably be performed or the impact of the sexual activity to ones life. Yet sexuality defines orgasm, vagina-penile intercourse, homosexual existence or sexual identities. The power of sexuality is evident during procreation. Sex causes deep feelings to arise and a great power lies in those feelings. Sex creates tremendous feelings in within our wellbeing about people and circumstances we face in life. In our modern culture, women sexuality is powerful. It’s acceptable when a woman lures a man when marketing a product, getting discount after sales or free goods by using her womans power. A womans sexuality can even change a mans life. Women are emotionally gender driven by their feelings and have the ability to crave romance. Men on the other hand are emotionally shallow therefore are deeply transformed by falling in love with a woman and becoming sexually bound to her. Through this a man works hard to take care of his woman or to sustain the family and that increases his ego and happiness. As some say women use sex to get love while men use love to get sex. Young girls are able to get whatever they want from their dads at a very tender age of six years. this shows the women power over men. Campus girls have sexual power over men as they usually wear exposed clothes. And they do this mostly to create attraction from men. Some girls even take advantage of mans weakness with sex to make them satisfy their needs like the need for money. Some women end up giving out their body for money. They continue using their body as a source of their income. Women have a high power of seduction. In the modern world people have realized the power of women. Women are most frequently being used in the advertising industry to make a product more attractive and more selling. This happens especially to those products that are being used by men. Most magazines and erotic movies have pictures of naked women on the cover page. This highly creates a high curiosity to men and the demand for these movies is high as one gets eager to get a better view of what was on the cover page. Women are now the ones who decided on when to have sex and sometimes this doesn’t go well with some husbands. Men want women to have sex with them every time the desire for it arises. Some men don’t even consider the physical stability of their women before craving for sex. Women are said to be the emotional gender. Women tend to have a heart that pits those that are in daring need for help. Men are said to be shallow in emotions. Women are more attracted to men who have more money and have the capability to care for  themselves. These women finally end up being mistreated by these men as they are capable of getting any woman they desires. Always trying to look good. They apply make-up and other types of beauty stuffs; they take great care especially to their hair and nails. Men do not use anything to look attractive. They just got to do some work ups and that’s all. The biggest thing men do look attractive is trying to get more masculine. Women are known for fear of strangers. Some women don’t handshake men unless she is familiar with them. Men do it to any woman without even giving it a second thought. Men always take the first move getting into a relationship.
