Psychology, Erikson’s Timeline Introduction The development of humans is characterized and steered by the improvement in the sensesof the person in the diverse system of development. The development begins at the infancy stage with several events taking place as the evidence of the psychological, psychosexual and physical development. The events changes as the child grows portraying the changes in the development stages of the child who later transverses to the adolescent, and later adult stages of life (Newman & Newman, 2007).

Erikson’s notion on trying to explain the development theory of the child and the entire being explains the entire development process in humans. He presents the development theories as the reasons that explain the development of humans (Zhang & He, 2011).My Current Stage in LifeAt my age the experiences of the children’s thoughts and mental underdevelopment reveals to me what necessity my age and development urge demands. Just past the adolescent stage, I would never wish to act or be seen as an adolescent, my thrust is to know what kind of person I am (Zhang, 2013).

I’m striving hard to identify myself within the scores of life, “The problem of Identity”. This is stage where I would want to identify myself and my plans and dreams in this life. Having the ability to see my life as a continuous prospect and be able to reconstruct it as I wish is the definition of my reason to be identified with something in life (Zhang & He, 2011).The Central question at this stageI frequently ass myself the question, “Whom am I?” as the drive to show me past the past inabilities to ask and confront the reality in myself during the last stages.

At this I have the guts to ask myself the question that forms the basis of my thoughts and efforts to build my personality. It is from the personality that builds the reputation and the identity that I long for (Zhang & He, 2011). I do answer the question by saying that I am the one I wish to be in life. What I ever want to be is the desire to achieve my dreams in a systematic way as I may be pleased. Striving past the cycles of unrealistic notions of being naïve and inability to prove independent identity describes the progress in development of my personality (Zhang, 2013).

My Dad’s CaseHaving worked and undergone all the stages that begin from the infancy stage to the middle adult stage of development, my dad now aims to leave a legacy in his life. He is in the ‘Generative versus stagnation stage,’ The implications of the early stages of development in life give the urge to pursue the dreams we set at the ages we begin to make clear distinctions on the various things in life. He strives to be a good parent as he cares to be a worthy parent that every child would wish to have (Zhang & He, 2011).

The Question at the StageHe often subjects himself to the question, ‘what can he take care of?’ He strives to create comfort to the people beginning from the family to the outside world. Creating a legacy is the objective he wants to meet and realize the demands. He wants to make us embrace the morality and other things that define good life into us so that we trail along the legacy of good care in the family and consequently to the following generations. Leaving a legacy according to him compels him to sponsor the scouts camps and little leagues in sports (Zhang & He, 2011).

SummaryThe stages in life imply the progress in the life of the individual and the development of the person. The children notions on the events in life differ from those of the adults as their psychosocial developments are different. People’s objectives depend on the stage of development as the demands of the person’s attention to focus on the issues that the stage desire to accomplish. Psychosocial development explores the differences in the behavior of people in the societies (Newman & Newman, 2007).
