Critical thinking Critical thinking is an essential aspect in making claims as it ensures that sufficient evidence is given in support of the evidence. This is an aspect that works to determine whether a statement or claim made is true or false. Establishment of critical thinking skills application was developed as an essential aspect because of the numerous paranormal beliefs that existed on many issues. Based on such a perspective, FiLCHeRS, which stand for the six rules of evidential reasoning, including Falsifiability, Logic, Comprehensiveness, Honesty, Replicability, and Sufficiency, apply towards the determination of evidence of any claim made (Lett).

Based on the perspective mentioned above, this paper analyses the application of two of the above concepts; logic, which ensures that any evidence offered in support of a claim must be sound and honesty, which identifies that the evidence offered in any claim must be evaluated without any form of self-deception.In applying logic to the statement that Earthquakes are caused by fracking, it is essential that the evidence given in support of such a claim is sound. Evidently, it is substantively clear that to a certain extent, fracking contributes to the occurrence of earthquakes; however, it is usually not a great extent.

Ideally, if the magnitudes of the earthquakes that are caused by fracking are measured, then they are usually low compared to other causes that significantly contribute higher magnitudes for the occurrences of earthquakes such as reservoir-filling. Earthquakes contributed by fracking have a magnitude range 1.5 to 2.0 while the earthquakes caused by other factors such as reservoir-filling. Honesty on the above perspective is therefore, an aspect that provides clear evidence that indeed fracking induces earthquakes.

Ideally, there is sufficient prove that fracking contributes significantly towards the occurrence of earthquakes as the drilling process involved is sufficient evidence of earthquake induction and later occurrence. A lot of questions have been raised pertaining to the ethical aspect of fracking. Logically, it is unethical to frack. This is mainly due to the fact that the injection of the liquid involved in the extraction process. The fracking process results in breaking of rocks and therefore, unethical to the environment.

Additionally, on the honesty perspective, earthquakes are never pleasant occurrences as they contribute both to the destruction of the environment and loss of life and therefore, unethical (Lett). Similar perspectives are observable on providing evidence that fracking causes the land around it to look ugly. Fracking, a process also known as hydraulic fracturing involves the process by which pressurized is put into a rock to extract oil in most instances. Evidently, it is usually easier to apply FiLCHeRS in certain instances, whereas it is usually not easily applicable in others.

This is based on the fact that in certain instances, there are occurrences that are easily observable and hence justifying is an easy task while in others the proof is never easily observable and hence not easy to apply FiLCHeRS. Detoxification is a process in which human bodies are medically relieved of numerous toxic substances that they usually possess. Scientifically, the process is very important based on the fact that it enables the body remove toxic substances and therefore, reduces the chances of the body getting affected by diseases (Sherameti).

According to the non-scientific approach of detoxification, has it that the body has all the appropriate mechanisms to balance the processes, and therefore, detoxification is never an important process as the body must have all the balances (Sherameti).
