Extract of sample "Different Perceptions about Temptations"

Judging by the different verses we have in the bible, it is prudent to conclude that it offers different perceptions about temptations. One thing that is stressed by the bible is that the bible acknowledges that a person is likely to get tempted at a certain point in his or her life. In James, Chapter 1 versus 14, temptation occurs when a person is drawn out from his or her lusts. The Bible acknowledges how hard it is for human beings to fight and overcome temptations and this is found in the book of 1st Corinthians 10:13.

Temptation thus leads to evil, which does not conform to bible teachings. The bible's teachings on temptation and stimulus control both agree that there are circumstances that lead to a certain behavior done by an individual. It is wise for an individual to try to avoid the circumstances that lead to bad behaviors which have negative consequences.
