Clinical Psychology The movie “Amistad” represents the picture of African slavery revolution. The screenplay of the movie has been based on the book “Mutiny on the Amistad: The Saga of a Slave Revolt and Its Impact on American Abolition, Law and Diplomacy”. These facts mainly included the enslavement practices undergone by the Africans, their purchase as well as capture and most vitally their success in the form of winning freedom, which eventually led them towards returning to their original place i.e. Africa.

By taking into concern the major theme as portrayed in the movie, specific reactions can be made considering the fact that everyone needs to fight for winning own freedom. It was Theodore Joadson and Lewis Tappan who were found to be the main characters of the movie, which debated the negative reactions obtained from the African people after undergoing though enslavement phase (YouTube, “Amistad - FULL Movie (1997)”). It will be vital to mention that the e entire movie showed varied sorts of reactions particularly of bonded Africans to queen Isabella of Spain and former President named John Quincy Adams towards acquiring a brief understanding about the position of Atlantic slave trade.

The reaction of the movie can also be determined based on the two particular core themes that have been represented in the movie.
