Importance of The Glorious Qur'an

It is also regarded to be one of the most perfect and finest pieces of literature in the Arabic language. The glorious Qur’an is considered to be of extreme vitality because above everything else, it is a written form of God’s own words and thus is to be followed by every religious Muslim and regarded as holy in their eyes. The Qur’an is said to have been sent to the Prophet Muhammad by Allah, who received it through the messenger angel Jibra’eel or Gabriel. Prophet Muhammad then read it to the Muslims around him and this way, spread the message of God. The Qur’an is said to be the most truthful speech because every word is believed to have come straight from Allah’s mouth and mind. The Prophet Muhammad recited the words that he received by the angel with a view to educate the Muslims about the advice that Allah gave regarding how to live and cooperate with others. They memorized the passages in order to pass it down to the future generations and preserve the words of Allah so that every Muslim could recite them regularly and follow the teachings of God himself. It thus forms a very important aspect of every Muslim’s life because it is the verbatim message of God and thus they consider themselves to be extremely lucky to know what God has asked them to do and the message that he has given. It then becomes the duty of every Muslim to spread it to others and help them interpret and understand the message. Arabic is written from right to left and thus every Muslim makes it a point to understand the Arabic language and read the Qur’an in Arabic rather than having it translated to another language in order to preserve its originality. The holy book contains messages and pieces of advice for people on how to live and treat each other in order to retain peace and harmony within the world; it teaches people how to devote their services to God and make the world a better place in the meantime. Therefore, it is important for people because it contains the glorious message from Allah to all the people on how to live and act correctly; it thus contains a guiding message from life, like a light that leads people out of dark tunnels. Furthermore, the book also has messages from God about what happens to people after their death and the kind of afterlife they might have depending on the kind of deeds they indulge in during the course of their lifetime. According to the book, Allah has prepared for Paradise and Hell for good and bad people respectively. Through the journey of various stories about different Prophets, the Qur’an helps people understand the importance of living life the ‘right way’ and doing good deeds during their lifetime. It teaches them that helping others in their times of need will enable Allah to help them when they need help the most. People are thus advised to respect others and are told that they will be condemned after their death if they indulge in bad habits and wrong doings. The Qur’an thus forms a very ...Show more
