In Galatians, Paul refutes the earlier teachings of James that taught that one had to master and practice the Jewish law as a prerequisite of being a follower of Christ. In these two contexts, Paul’s letters teach that the only way that man can have a divine relationship with God is through Jesus Christ.

Therefore, according to Paul, the remedy of man’s sin is through repentance.Augustine’s confession precipitates from the fact that man has first to understand the first sin documented in Genesis that was a resultant effect of pride and disobedience of God in the Garden of Eden. He points out than Man has a free will to obey God or disobey and man’s divine relationship is a choice to be made by man himself. 2. Faith and science have an interdependent relationship according to their explanation of the creation story.

While faith explains supernatural aspects of science that are beyond science, science explains the natural aspects of human life (Hill,Knitter, & Madges 1997).. Faith aids man to understand the first creation according to the book of Genesis. Science enables man to comprehend the continuation of natural existence of biotic and abiotic aspects of nature. The Dover case is about creation science and natural science is not regarded as science because it cannot be explained or proven by empirical means. 3. The themes from the stories in the book of John open up to a number of teachings: being born again in Christ showing Jesus as the only way of finding eternal life.

Nicodemus gets a literal understanding of being born again questioning how grown up man like him can be born again. The theme of equality before God is evident in the case young blind man (Hill,Knitter, & Madges 1997). According to the Jews the blind man’s condition is attributed to some curse excluding him as a valuable member of the society, the Samaritan woman gives Jesus who is Jews water against their norms showing the theme of love beyond boundaries. 4. The heresy refers to violations of important religious teachings.

It is the rejection of the teachings of the Catholic Church. It says that denying any of the doctrines that are the teachings of Christ is to deny the faith of Christ. Irenaeus of Lyons was opposed to heretics because the knowledge of the apostles came after the resurrection of Christ and the baptism in the Holy Spirit. 5. Synoptic gospels are Mark, Luke and Mathew since they have similar stories and sequence. The synoptic problems refer to the question of the precise nature of their literacy relationship.

It seeks to address what order the synoptic was written and did the authors of the latter texts use the earlier gospels as directed by their literacy sources. The synoptic gospels are similar with each other, but each still contain its uniqueness. This is known as the triple tradition.

The double problem is the passages shared between Mathew and Luke, which comprises of parables and sayings. The passages are differently arranged in the two gospels.
