The Role of the Torah and Special Covenant School Jewish people have been considered to be chosen by God for many decades. A lot of examples of some special Covenant between Jewish and God may be found in Torah – the sacred book of Judaism. Covenant is a sacred agreement between God and Jewish people. In Torah this Covenant can be traced through the entire text. The first Covenant was made between first humans and God, but Adam and Eve broke the agreement and committed fall, so God overthrew them from Heaven to the earth.

Since then The Covenant was repeatedly re-set up again by the prophets that God send for Jewish people though Noah (King James Version, Gen. 9.1-17) and Abraham (King James Version, Gen. 17.10-14) etc. The most significant Covenant between Jewish people and God was Moses’ one, which is declared in so-called Codex Sinaiticus – a list of God’s laws that must be followed by His people. The law described in the Codex is in fact the actual ethical doctrine of Judaism. In addition the Codex declines Jewish as God’s chosen people, the only people who have right to carry the Codex.

The significance of The Covenant between God and Jewish is obvious. Torah’s evidences allow Jewish to consider themselves (and actually to be accepted) as God’s chosen people and this makes them special. Despite the fact that they had repeatedly broken the agreement, the evidences show that God forgave them, because He promised Abraham that his genesis will prosper.
