Dalai Lama Teachings Yles in her report to fellow Buddhist indicates that every Buddhist is a human being and a social animal. Buddhists have the same rights, whether believers or pagans, beggars, rich, poor, educated or uneducated. The differences that come from people’s secondary levels result in quarrels, cheating, hatred, and looking down upon each other. Yles indicates that Buddha Shakyamuni’s whole life was full of motivation from sentimental human beings. This meant that his concern was for everybody and not the Buddhists only. Yles comments that religious leaders do not fear Buddha; instead, they exploit people and treasure their money and power. Dalai Lama indicates that religious followers do not practice Buddha teachings, prayers, and guidance. This is because the teachings of Lamas, Tulkus and teachers are outdated. He indicates that strict Buddhist recite Buddha’s teachings every morning and lives according to those teachings. Buddhist believes that negative experiences follow people who do wrong. Dalai Lama comments that Buddha does not save people but teaches them how to be free from all sufferings. People should contribute to their inner peace by doing right actions. Monastic quality and behavior acts as the foundation for Buddharama, which includes vows and discipline. Discipline was evident from Buddha who cut his hair and meditated for six years. Buddha’s trainings were Sila, Samadhi, and pannya. Nirodha is evident to eliminate people’s ignorance, obtain wisdom, and avoid sufferings. Through this, they will be free from all evils. The teachings are translated into three hundred Indian languages. To become good Buddha monks, people must be genuine, change their hearts and minds, work hard, and exchange goods so that they can learn from each other. Ordained nuns should follow vinaya texts. Monastic studies train nuns to be doctors and good scholars. Dalai Lama expresses his sadness to the Tibetans since they have been involved in demonstrations and protests. This emanated from people’s anger due to denial of worship and freedom of speech rights. Peaceful demonstrations are causing many deaths and sufferings among the Tibetans. Dalai Lama asserts that the tragic accidents cause people to be emotional. The demonstrations, however, indicate that Tibet people share same peace and harmony. This is shown by risking their property to be heard by the rulers. Tenzin indicates that rulers of the other parts of the world have sent peaceful support messages to Tibet people aiming at reaching a solution. However, these rulers are not supporting the ongoing violence. Chinese authority has blamed the administration for the increasing demonstrations. Middle way approach has been a solution to the Chinese people. This approach explains that people must have similar administration, which has equal autonomy and provisions. This is in exception of national defense and foreign relations. Despite the ongoing violence, the Chinese have also won in the Olympics, which have made them proud. Increase of violence will result in suppression of Tibet people. Dalai Lama came up with a peace plan that seeks a transformation of Tibetans to peaceful people. He blames China’s policy regarding population transfer since it threatens Tibetans existence. He urges the rulers to respect Tibetans human rights and their freedom. Tibetans will develop economically, culturally, spiritually and intellectually. Dalai Lama comments that the natural environment of Tibet must be restored and should not be used to manufacture nuclear weapons and act as a damping site for nuclear waste. Dalai Lama argues that negotiations between the Tibetans and the Chinese must be changed. Dalai observes that a distorted mind is the cause of violence because the person has not accepted the reality. Therefore, people should know the causes of chaos. He asserts that Buddhism teachings are rational and should be used by people to have peace amongst them. Unbiased people believe in religion because they are taught how to solve many disputes. Dalai Lama argues that Ladkar people love their religion and others that fit in Ladkar. People must respect their religion, as well as believing in it. All people should care and respect each other. All problems should be resolved in a friendly manner and dialogue amongst all people. Dalai Lama advises Kashag and the whole republic that the Tibetans should be responsible for their welfare and their administration as if Dalai Lama was not there. He also comments that one person cannot maintain the stability of the people neither can he support them. On the issue of accelerated violence towards the Tibetans, Dalai Lama resigned from his presidency to allow the Tibetans rule until peace has been successfully resolved. This is because of the accelerated violence towards the Tibetans. This will enable the administration of the Tibetans to be independent. The messages conform to the teachings of Indian Buddhism since they explain that Buddha teachings make people aware of their body, thoughts, and feelings. Responsible people eliminate suffering from their lives. Buddha explains that life has two extremes, which are peace and pleasure. People who live life full of pleasure become worthless and meaningless. Buddha advises people to live a peaceful life since they are going to be happy. Buddha’s teachings make people believe they are good and by doing this they remove the fear. The messages have Tibetans teachings because they indicate that 20th century is full of bloodshed, violence, divisions, demonstrations, and protests among the Tibetans. Dalai Lama comments that Buddha does not save people but teaches them how to be free from all sufferings. This is because approximately two hundred million human beings were killed. These evils came from past mistakes and negligence. Technology advances in the 20th century also caused destruction. Dalai Lama argues that the destruction comes from heartless individuals who want money more than happiness. Better lives depend on people’s hearts but not their intelligence and education. Motivated people have peace that comes from their inner self. Peace does not come from declarations, slogans, or resolutions. Dalai Lama also introduces a peace plan for the Tibetans aimed at ending the ongoing violence. In conclusion, the above messages discuss the Tibetans and the Buddhists. Tibetans are protesting and demonstrating seeking for their rights while the Buddhists lack peace.
