Buddhist philosophers, through the centuries have formulated comprehensive arguments dismissing the creator god doctrine. It is for this reason that Buddhism has sometimes been referred as an atheistic teaching. It is described as atheistic because it denies the existence of omnipotent, eternal God who is the ordainer and creator of the world (Thera, 2008, p. 3).
