The scientific proof for humans is responsible for causing climate change. For example, when humans drive their cars, release carbon dioxide in the form of fossil fuel and, as a result, the chemical composition of the air is interfered. On the other hand, people are consuming more carbon dioxide than before due to activities such as gas emissions from greenhouses and industries. Thus, these cause a lot of harm to humans, animals, and plants. Some of the negative effects of climate change include harsh weather conditions like floods and extreme draught.
The other issue is that large numbers of people are dying due to change in climate. This change can cause lack of rainfall, malnutrition, temperature change, and diseases that are prone such malaria, diarrheas and dengue. The issue of equal distribution of resources is also highlighted in the chapter. It is argued that resources need to be shared justly to all the concerned parties. The Western nations have been accused of causing massive pollution to the environment because of industrialization. The issue of polluting the atmosphere is least in the African nations. It is very frightening of the negative effects that human beings have brought upon themselves, and it is too late to do anything to change the situation. In order to be saved from this man made consequences, either the advancements in technology that will save us or God will rescue us.
According to the information from this chapter, the author has a good perspective. The author raises concern about the activities of humans and their impacts on the environment. People have caused this problem, and they cannot be able to avoid the consequences. The chapter is very interesting to read. It touches on all scope of people in the whole world because; everyone feels the negative effects of global warming. Unlike in the past, global warming has now become a global concern, not only to the individual, but also to governments.
