In fact, the current rate is 12.5% which is slightly higher than the rate in 2000 at 11.3%. The initial indicator and measure of poverty was arbitrary, but the development of the poverty index has increased the ease of evaluation and policy development. The role of the government in the process is to use the poverty index and rate to come up with policies supporting poverty eradication approaches. On November 6th, the bureau established and published data based on supplementary poverty measure which is useful in the development of plans and engaging non-governmental organizations. Importance The article is beneficial because it offers official poverty data as released by the government, which includes the approach of the government in addressing the issues associated with poverty eradication and analysis. The article covers the basic issues of governance in relation to the success of programs and poverty levels in the society. In fact, the whole article deals with the evaluation of the various levels and rates of poverty in history and the role of economic development in shaping the behavior of the citizens. Poverty index and rates is a measure of the welfare of the citizens and involves coming up with new programs with an aim of improving the welfare. The article is vital because it shapes understanding of poverty in the society as a product of economic forces, which can be controlled by the state. It has led to increase in poverty among the waiters, and the case presented by the editorial board illustrates the need for change. The failure to develop the necessary structures within the restaurant will lead to the development of tipping process. The giving of tips and development of the tipped wage has affected the economic welfare of the citizens. The increase in the minimum wage was a product of the ever increasing economic restrains. The raising of the minimum wage is vital because it helps in the development of the necessary standard of living. The raising of the standards of living is the focus if the governments. However, the main area of focus is the tipping service and the development of the minimum wage as presented in the society. Tipping was a common practice which affected the nature of the wealth distribution. The article addresses the various issues associated with tipping making it essential in the study of poverty and social policy. In fact, it covers the posh restaurant and the tipping service practiced by high level or five star restaurants. Therefore, the article presents the poverty associated with wage tipping. Social protection has emerged as a framework employed to address poverty especially in developing. The article connects social protection with the new perspectives makes it collective and attractive. The role of social protection in offering support to the citizens from developing countries indicates the need to eradicate poverty. Social protection offers a framework for the government, and other organizations to come up with a policy that ensures success in the struggle to eradicate poverty. In fact, the success of the social protection program is dependent on the framework developed to support the principles of its operation. The article addresses the importance of local government in the fight against poverty. The ripple of economic crisis is still present in the Europe world. The role of the local government is to offer more for less in a bid to reduce the impact of the global financial crisis. The recent report shows that over half a million people in the UK rely on emergency food aid to solve the starvation problem. In fact, the approach should be changed in order to reduce the impact of poverty on the local citizens. There is a need for the government to pool resources and share experience in order to develop exclusive framework for poverty eradication. Importance The article covers the importance of the local government in the development of policies and framework for change. In fact, it addresses the various issues affecting local government and the need to shape the perception of the inhabitants. The development of organization and national framework are vital in the process because it encourages the development of a new approach to poverty eradication. The support of local communities and authorities can help shape the economy of the country.
