The present study aims at discovering if there exists or not any relationship between environment on the one hand, and nature of social interaction on the other. Since the topic contains vastness in its fold, it has been supported with two relevant theories, i.e. Theory of Leisure Class by Thorstein Veblen and Social Action Theory by Max Weber. The following hypothesis has been developed for the present study: different the environment experienced by the individuals within a social set up, different the patterns of the interaction among them regarding leisure time consumption as well as professional life. Interview schedule has been applied as the tool for data collection for the present study. Eighteen professionals belonging to different age-groups, genders, classes and areas of the city were selected on the basis of quota (non-probability) sampling for the interview. After the research process, the hypothesis was upheld.
