According to the research findings, it can, therefore, be said that people from the Arab world and the Muslims are the ones that have been badly affected by racial profiling as it is generally believed that they have the blood of terrorists flowing through their veins. In Adhan Khan’s Close Encounters with immigration officials of the US, he affirmed that the concern about racial profiling has made the migration to the US extremely difficult. This is due to the fact that strict immigration laws have been imposed by the US immigration authorities on intending immigrants from other countries. They impose these laws on people from countries that are believed to protect terrorists or people from religions or races believed to have the characteristics of terrorists in them. The belief of Khan was that the Muslims have been placed under close scrutiny by the US. This has clearly shown that the US authorities have singled a certain religion out while using his experience with the authorities as an illustration. There are actually different occasions where an intending immigrant would be thoroughly questioned to ascertain their true intentions of traveling to the US. The US authorities have claimed that they have used this interrogation process to know if an immigrant has an ulterior motive, but the fact remains that some races have been left out of this questioning process, while some have been the victims. Racial profiling is no doubt an infringement on the rights of people as they would eventually be denied of their fundamental human rights. There are cases where a robbery incident took place and the US officials would suspect some races believing that a member of this race would definitely be the culprit. The victim could describe the robber as a member of the black race and the police would proceed to investigate other black people living in the neighborhood.
