Boomers are a more idealistic generation unlike the younger generation who may base TV and movies as their influence. Boomers believed in modernism they grew up believing technology is good, medicine as the answer to their problems and a united people meant a better future (Gelston, 2008). This ideology cannot relate to the present especially with the generation Y.
