2. A current counter culture movement is the gay movement. There have been a number of organizations and movements since 1924 that support gay rights, like the Society for Human Rights in Chicago (1924), the Mattachine Society (1951), and The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) (1996). Congress legalized gay marriages in 2010. Gay rights include gay marriages, child adoption, healthcare, legal protection, property rights, and the like (Gallaghar & Bull, 1996).
3. I find a career in food chemistry and nutrition the most intriguing job. It is the study of the composition, structure, and properties of foods and their nutritional value. I need to do at least MS in chemistry to get a job of a food chemist and nutritionist. Gender does not affect my job at all. The day-to-day life will become somewhat busy because I will have to spend ample time in laboratory. I might learn more about this career through internet and counseling. Food chemistry and nutrition jobs are greatly offered in U.S. and Canada (AACC International, 2011).
