Gender is the costume in which women and men dance their unequal dance. For along time, men have subordinated women. As evident in the rigged game, women have been subordinated because they have been portrayed as weaker sex in society. Reasons for gender inequality in American society can be attributed to deepening division in the roles assigned to females and males in all spheres of life in society, particularly in political, economic and educational spheres. In most cases, women are not active as men in decision making processes and political activities.
