This is opposed to the communists who promoted the welfare of the autonomy of the workers by giving them the wide latitude of determining the methods to employ in production; the control of the design of the product and the workers control of the production process are all denied. The major object of the capitalist is to make the workers lose the collective actions and to introduce competition among workers in order to exploit them and maximize the profits from such activity (Archibald 98). Maxi’s theory therefore attempts to explain the reasons behind the capitalist’s actions and thoughts to the society. The impact of this is to robe people their power to control the society and the actions that revolve around us. The responsibility would be left in the hands of the few greedy individuals, who have amassed their wealth through exploitation. Others have failed to consider the plight of the society in their actions. The materialism of human beings has superseded the love and the need of togetherness has been put at the periphery. Social alienation as well was created with the aim of creating different social classes with people in same class sharing beliefs and has similar problems. Those in the high and prestigious class united to control those at the lower social classes with the objective of clinging into control. The different social class was pegged on the amount of economic wealth one had (Giddens 125). The rich were against any actions that could see social progress from the population they used as a ladder in order to gain power and wealth. Marx was against such social alienation that was promoted by the capitalist. Max Weber a renowned sociologists was admired because of his wide knowledge and ideas. His theory on authority explains the various forms of authority that is possessed and exerted to wield power and control the three forms of authority are the traditional authority, charismatic authority and legitimate authority (Hamilton 147). According to Weber, traditional authority is that form of authority that form of authority that promotes status quo because of the sanctity of the traditions. Such actions cannot be questioned and the beliefs of the people legitimize this form of authority. The servants must be given directions by their traditional leaders and follow the directives wholly and without questioning the rationale of their lord’s decision (Hamilton 154). This form of authority promotes feudalism. An example of this form of authority is the laying of hands by the religious leaders. Charismatic authority on the other hand is that form of authority that is based upon the holder due to the unique and extraordinary characteristics that is admired by others. Even the traditional form of authority would be most effective if one had the charisma and desired characters that could be relied upon. Weber sees this form of authority as being effective. Finally, the legitimate authority is the authority that is derived from the laws or legislations. Legitimate authority is that form of bureaucratic authority that is applied in most institutions like school, armies, governments and other large institutions (Hamilton 168). The size of such organizations requires well-defined structure of authority and procedures must be followed to attain organizational stability and consistency. "The needs of mass administration
