Since the youth are in the B bracket of the population that the economy is extremely reliant on, it is very important that critical studies are conducted to curb this social crisis. According to previous studies, teenagers between 14-16 years of age are the highest consumers of alcohol. It has also been proved that 14% of the teenagers take alcohol at least every day (Thombs 2).
The purpose of this research is to ensure that the reasons behind teenage alcoholism are well understood and appreciated. The study aims to look into signs and symptoms of teenage alcoholism, and its overall effects to the society. The study will also analyze all the risk factors associated with alcoholism among teenagers. By analyzing the risk factors, it would be easier to deal with the social problem of alcoholism among teenagers. The research will conclude its findings by recommending treatments that will be accorded to the patients according to their levels of addiction. The research will aim to find the answers to the above mentioned objectives and craft potential solutions so as to deal with the problem (Thombs 6).
