In the early 21st century, much more is recognized about change strategies that have led to successful educational changes.
It is true that high school students are now learning college work. It is also a fact that children are being enrolled to kindergartens at the age of four. What seems to be changing is the economy, and so is the education system. These two factors are changing rapidly without people even noticing. What drives them is the peoples’ desire to make more money than in the past (Direct Gov, 2010). However, people are not to blame since the society of today is money driven. Long ago, children were enrolled to kindergarten mostly at the age of six or seven. This is not case today. Education is becoming more multifaceted than in the past. It is evident that college curriculum is being encrypted in high school students. It is also evident that children as young as three or four years are being enrolled to kindergartens (Christensen, 1997).
The changes are brought up by the harsh economy of today. The economy is turning against the people who are responsible for its production. Parents need long working hours to earn an income that will enable them to cater well for their families’ needs. Also, the job market is becoming more competitive, and educators find it to be essential that high school students learn college material so that when they complete high school, they can also compete in the job market. Learning in line with careers was a technique used at the college level. However, these days, it is also being practiced in high schools (Direct Gov, 2010). Students in high schools are educated with respect to their desired careers. Young children being enrolled to kindergartens at a tender age do not have a psychological reasoning.
