The latter websites have employed faith-based or conservative research arguments to depict how family and marriage ought to be despite numerous challenges threatening their existence presently (FRC). Conversely, Family Facts utilizes data and charts to convey its information to the reader concerning diverse trends currently characterizing family and the marriage institution (FRC).

Family Facts website obtains its information from past researches, for instance, census’ data where in heightening the content’s authority relays it using charts and graphs. For instance, studies depicting the declining rates of divorce rates where at present stand at 16.4 contrary to 1980’s 22.6, though experts contend cases’ occurrences are still high (Family Facts).. Since, the inception boomer’s period to the present, diverse trends have characterized both family and marriage institution.

For illustration, increased rates of divorce cases where at the present despite studies contending the trend is declining, they are still high (Family Facts). Probably, this is due to moral decay brought about by modernization where the involved spouses are unwilling to tolerate each other and solve their disagreements amicably. Therefore, the only effective solution to their disturbed marriages is divorcing their current spouses to remarry, cohabit or remain single life. This has prompted some people opting cohabiting before coming up with a concrete decision concerning marriage, whereas others have resulted to same sex unions.

However, the society had refuted the latter option (same sex unions) claiming it is unlawful and against to what God planned initially when he created humanity (FRC). This resulted to diverse heated debates where some states besides authorizing gay marriages, presently they usually recognize them. I have also unveiled that, despite numerous arguments concerning the legalization of gay marriages, the original or traditional definition of marriage has not faded. The definition states marriage is a union between two different, opposite genders (FRC).

Presently, the only stable families are those holding to the traditional values or spiritual teachings. Since, these values usually define where every spouse and other members of the family belong besides clearly stating their roles.
