The film is based in Canada, citing, as well as highlighting major towns and other cities that relate the entire movie and happenings that are engaged in, to the North American country. The setting and all other means made of to make the film a success do not confine these unfortunate happenings to one specific region in the world. Instead, it serves as a mere reflection of things gone very wrong in many different parts of the world.
In this movie, it is evident in display, just how much pressure, the incarcerated undergo while in the correctional facility. The focus on Butch, shows, or rather reflects and portrays the different effects that come with ones attitude, as well as their nature.
