College Introduction The world today appreciates its social dynamics, its diversity and the long term identities. This has been faced with a couple of challenges among the trajectories of neighborhood and the different shaped perceptions. The driving force to have law abiding citizens has been seriously researched and debated. The learned researchers, psychologist and social scientist have spent sleepless nights working and re-thinking on lasting solutions. This paper intends to critically analyze on to ways and means to reduce the enrollment of gang membership, criminal activity of gangs and their power in the community.

Background historyThere are many paradigm theories that offer solutions to reduce the rate of crime. Many of the ones that have been logically and practically practiced have surprisingly been derived from sociologist. They had to re-work on measurable goal oriented strategies, and have them put in place. It calls for a lot of proper planning strategies from all the stake holders. The main objective is to have our youths realize their full potential. Government, political and religious leaders have to be incorporated to reach the entire community.

They have to be inspiring and have the people involvement strategies. Our leadership at times is a basically associated with visionary and more personalized form of management, (Sampson, 2012). This should be the strong selling point when it comes to dealing with burning issues in the community.The leaders in the society should have well railed out policies that have a clear vision. In a bird’s eye view, this paper will highlight on some key comprehensive crime policies that would offer smiles to the perplexed community.

Citing Boston as our geographical area, this is an area that has been well known to the rest of the world as having the most notorious and hard criminals. To solve the mess, this paper would suggest the following to be implemented. Having identified the problem at hand, it would go beyond any reasonable doubt, the community must be fully involved and up-root the major challenges of having Boston as the crime harbor, (Sampson, 2012).These strategies would involve Boston’s Ceasefire Operation, Seed and Weed program, and the Safe Neighborhood Operation.

These strategies should evolve to address the gangs in Boston as the main agenda, and should be well structured in a way of controlling and protecting the youth violence. This should incorporate the local community, the law enforcement so as to enlighten the youth on the fundamental rights and the legal aspect of having to deal with homicide. This form of partnership will enable the dilution of the core problem facing the community, (Sampson, 2012). The formation of inter-agency having members from the social service, religious leaders, police and the criminal justice would be a comprehensive unit to cap the mess.

This community inter-agency will be the catch. These agencies should be well structured to get the transformation and offer support to the community. This will have a turning point to largely reduce violence; gun-related incidents slowly kill homicides roots and have responsible citizens. This type of crime, drugs and substance abuse prevention goes a long way to salvage our youths who have the potential to positively contribute to economic growth. The issue of young energetic men and women rotting behind bars would be a thing of the past, (Sampson, 2012.

The set-up of having a safe neighborhood would boost confidence to the local citizen. Community policing is one of the best and most effective way of governance. Whenever the society is fully engaged and everyone becomes each brother’s keeper, the lesser the incidences of crime are reported, (Sampson, 2012). On a mission to kill the crime from grass roots the local citizen, federal resources and the state will have to inter-marry. This kind of support from the federal government is channeled to offer training the technical assistance and funding of this massive project that will turn the world to a better place to live.

Conclusion The issue of drug abuse can be introduced during these programs as one of the catalyst towards crime. The community should be educated and given the full information on the side effects of the abuse. The social ecology will then evolve and have the entire community busy with the implementation of the rule of the land. The results of having comprehensive, well-coordinated and community-based policies, is that the entire world will borrow a leaf to have it practiced in their geographical zones.
