However, my dreams then were limited to seeking justice for my best friend who at a tender age had to bury his father. The pain for the loss saw her get into alcoholism as a teenager. She got arrested severally, and later ended up in a delinquents’ jail. It was my desire to change the nature of crime handling in my country that prompted me to pursue a career in sociology. As I progressed with my studies, I realized the need to understand the reasoning and motivating factors behind the actions of criminals.

I made up my mind that I would be a researcher in this particular field. Subsequently, I enrolled for a course in BSc in sociology at the Bowen University in Nigeria. The four-year course increased my desire to under4stand criminals, thus making up my mind to pursue further training in criminology, especially the psychology behind their reasoning. After my graduation, I worked with a signage advertising agency, Nigeria as a customer service between 2010 and 2011. However, I felt that I needed more training in order to achieve my dream of becoming an expert in crime.

Therefore, I enrolled for a postgraduate diploma in Thunder Bay, Ontario Canada. Currently, I am working as a part-time customer service provider at a value village in the community development area. However, I feel that I have not achieved my dream of becoming a crime expert, an area that I so much want to specialize in. As such, I seek to apply for more training on the research based on crime and delinquency. I believe that the previous training that I have acquired from my studies, coupled with the experience makes me an eligible candidate for this position.
