Based on the law enforcement psych versus Joe public, this implies that Joe public’s behavior is the same as Joe criminal: In that case, all the participants are subjects to punishment.2. Durkhem is vied as a Functionalist. The arguments of the theory are mainly in favor of a cohesive society bound by common values and norms. Contribution of the social, cultural activities to the functionality of the system can have an easy explanation based on the nature of functionalism.

Deviance, therefore, two utilities: The society tries hard to control deviation in order to restore order in the society. Presence of law enforcers helps acts as a warning to criminals. Secondly, deviance acts as an indicator of the things in the society that should have consideration hence enactment of the law has a purpose to handle such issues.3. The labeling theory tends to asks why people who commit certain actions are marked as deviant. The theory identifies the effects of labeling of individuals as deviant.

The theory argues that not all individuals who commit crimes have a deviant labeling.4. A caste system has a definition as a society, which classifies individuals according to their status. The industrial caste system is a society that classifies economies based on their industrial accomplishment. The characteristics of a caste system include discrimination, economic status deviation and classification of individuals in the society.5. Meritocracy is a social system that allows the individuals to exploit their full potential hence bettering themselves via unlimited access to education.
