This reproduction also results in social reproduction. Cultural reproduction comprise of the schooling done in modern societies. This reproduction does not operate according to what is being taught in courses of formal instruction. The structural approach explains why the society functions the way it does in association with the relationships between social institutions that make up society, for example; government, law, education, religion etc. This theory focus on the fact that the social systems are collective means to fill social needs. Necessary goods and services are produced by the individuals in various institutions. Structural theory states that the society is made of institutions and these institutions share the common values and have an explicit culture. The most compelling approach between these two is the structural reproduction. That is because it contains the system which works equally and is well organized in every category of society. It is more appealing and effective than the cultural approach.
