Methods The historical method is in use in the article where, the author relies on past literature to convey his points on the issue. The author conducts research from primary sources and other evidence and then writes based on evidence from past literature. He admits his action of reading several children narratives in order to unravel the contents and understand the literature availed to the children (Singer 311). The author admits utilizing several samples of novels for a certain period for the purpose of data gathering. He studies the data found from the novels in order to unravel how the novels dealt with the issue of inequality plus power. With relevant citations plus citations, the author supports his arguments with past literature. The article emphasizes its arguments on the notions of conventional sociologists who performed investigations of novels considering them as a basis for information. The author performed a selection of about fifty novels with a 1930 to 1980 publication from which he conducted scrutiny of the texts to find out the texts approach to social inequality. The method in use is essential because the reader can recognize the author’s arguments because their origin is mostly from past literature (Singer 311). Objective of the article The objective of the article is to convey information regarding the idea of inequality plus power by drawing references from an investigation conducted from reading several books. The article intents to answer the research question generated at the start of the writing. The article attempts to explain the genre of the materials that children are to read, and the content of the materials. Results of the study The author presents the results of the investigation after performing a careful research on the issue. Throughout the study, the author seeks to unravel the composition of different children narratives. He does this by selecting several materials for analysis. He compares the materials based on the questions that he has developed and suggests what children books or narratives should contain. The author admits that the narratives are useful fictions for children because they aid understanding of the power plus variation within the collective scenery (Singer 313). The author proves the hypothesis by drawing literature from different sources. The conclusion is that the children materials consist of dissident power although this thinking differs from other approaches. The author’s conclusion relates to power inside measures and entails information posing possibilities of power evasion. The perspective is different because it has depicted the ability to define inequalities within collective interactions. It encourages readers to evaluate social interactions. The author is certain that reading is significant to children development and believes that children can discover from fictional materials about their social organizations, and alter undesired inequalities (Singer 314).
