This as the media reports plays significant role in the overall outcome of the case that incorporates the concept of conflict view of crime (Winfree and Howard, pg.67-9). In this theory, crime is seen to be socially constructed hence defined to favor the elite in the society like Pistorious and control the working class. The case of Pistorious also shows the concept of integrationist view of crime in which some of the criminologists working on the investigation and focus on particular types of behavior or offenders in social process-micro modeling.
