Moreover, the presenter tries to find similarities that characterize both epochs of consideration. In particular, unusual combinations in dressing are analogous for both the 60’s and contemporary time. In addition, the key trends in fashion of the 60’s are highlighted. In this context, colorful patterns and bold designs are mentioned in the presentation as the distinguishing features of the dresses in this era. In fact, the passion of youth is the explanation of such a choice. Furthermore, the presentation is supplemented by the interesting facts of fashion in the 60’s.

In this section, the well-known names of Audrey Hepburn and Co-Co Chanel are mentioned in order to show the authority and deep connection between this period of fashion history and modern times. Moreover, turtle necks sweaters and bikini swimsuits that are up-to-date were firstly introduced and gained popularity in the 60’s. Thus, the thesis that the fashion of the previous times is actual is supported by these examples. In addition, the comparison between the early 60’s, mid 60’s and late 60’s fashion is provided.

Firstly, fashion of the 50’s which was vital for the early years of the 60’s is analyzed. In this context, older trends of ruffle dresses, tight waistline, and long elegant gloves are significant for this type of wearing. Nevertheless, some elements of this conservative fashion like stiletto heels can also be widely used in the present days. Concerning the fashion of the middle of the decade, completely different length and design of clothes was important. In particular, mini-skirts were introduced by this time.
