Based on the evidence presented by the employee in the court of law, the promoted individual had blood relation with the Human Resource Manager and this triggered his quick promotion. The HRM denied the allegation of blood relation with the promoted employee stating that the promotion was out of good work. The employee found it very difficult to challenge the HRM blood relation denial and the case dismissed. Following the promotion trend, the senior members hold key organs of the organizations had blood relations and few promoted based on common interest and position in the society.

Matrina Corporation is currently suffering poor management due to the breach of certain sociological terms. According the majority view, the organizations absorbed many relatives to the high rank without considering their skills or level of competence. This is a breach of the sociological terms and practice of nepotism and favoritism. Some of the sociological terms that apply to Matrina have been highlighted in the paper giving clear proof of nepotism or favoritism Social stratification is an act of categorizing people in the society based on occupation, power or social status.

This is an act that promotes favoritism based on the listed differences mentioned. Social stratification is one of the key factors that trigger favoritism and nepotism in organization. Nepotism and favoritism have been in existence for ages all over the world. Nepotism is broadly perceived as an unprofessional behaviour that confers benefits to unworthy relatives or acquaintances thereby stifling organizational excellence. It has to do with the employment and promotion of family members who are incompetent and unqualified merely based on the relationship they have with a shareholder, manager, or worker within the organization.

Favoritism, on this basis, refers to the conferring of peculiar benefits to people who are connected through friendship and acquaintanceship with respect to jobs and personnel
