Additionally, Graham Holley agrees that the school performance and performance of the child correlate with the class. He asserts that it takes some time for one to manage a class well, control and manage behavior that includes the poor behavior. This, in essence, approves the existence of class in the society in which we live. This article as well explores the use of the word “class system,” in which case, in the society people are divided into two groups according to the class system. These are the rich and the poor.

The second article titled “The New Digital Divide” and written by Susan Crawford in 2011 explores the use of the term “digital divide.” The word “digital divide,” in this context, means the lack of access to the technology that is the latest, especially among the rural residents, ethnic or racial minorities, or citizens of developed countries. Limited to the context of the article, this article addresses an issue where the suburban and urban well-off access high-speed Internet, with the rest, who are the poor and the working class group, either using restricted wireless Internet access or failing to access it at all.

This implies that there exist disparities in accessibility of information because of the digital divide whereby, as entertainment, jobs, health care and politics among other issues get online, there are those who stand being left behind. In this respect, telecommunication is the element that seemingly divides the two groups, splitting them into those who possess phones and those lacking; the1995 digital divide findings showed that the digital divide brought about economic, racial, and geographical gaps.

The articles that address social stratifications, economic systems, power elites and politics and global inequalities include the article by Reynolds,, entitled “power elite,” “Global Environmental Change and Global Inequality” by Michael Radclift, “Social Stratification in America” by Zeinab Ghasemi Tari, and “The Economic System” by K. Anthony in 1996. In the article “Power Elite,” terms explored include “authority,” “pluralists,” and “democracy.” Authority was used when referring to the upper echelons of the leadership.

Thomas Dye used the word when reporting that top positions are associated with that authority to run activities and programs of considerable legal, economic, political, educational, and civic institutions. In this, he meant much of the powers are all vested in the few rich people. “Pluralists”, as a term, was used to imply the idea of power being vested in hands of a few people, but people have a different interpretation about government and politics which is quite different from the pluralists.

Democracy is used ironically to refer to America being a country that is supposed to practice it, yet the powers are vested in those who are rich, with minorities possessing less influence on government matters. The article entitled “The Economic System” by K. Anthony has widely made use of the terms “capitalist,” “wealth,” “social,” “social justice,” and “laissez-faire capitalism.” In this context, the capitalist economy system was used to refer to a case where production is done to help maximize private profits
