Therefore, it is important for people to embrace the fight against racism in order to fight the socioeconomic challenges engulfing the people. The recent strategy to train law enforcement on how to handle crime is a step that will facilitate cooling down of the racial discrimination. The training creates meaningful interactions across races. Integrating racial history into the K-12 curriculum will continue to create opportunities that will foster significant student interactions across the different races. Education has been placed on the forefront to changing both the police and the public on how to view different races (Jonas 31).
Gun violence is specifically common in the poor neighborhoods in the United States. It is frequently allied with gang violence. Statistics indicates that it often involves male juveniles or young adult males. The often cited cause for gun violence is the drug market. It is an urgent, complex and multifaceted problem (Webster 13). There are several reasons why gun violence is on the rampant.
