Extract of sample "Social class and the Family"

Social and the Family Essentially, the current human generation fall into three categories of social es depending on their level of wealth. The first one is the upper class also known as the rich. The other two are the middle and lower classes. The same is depicted in most television programs as I got to realise when I sat down one evening to enjoy three of my favourite television shows.First ShowThe main characters of this show were coming from a well off family. The star’s family had accumulated and inherited massive wealth over several generations.

They owned a family ranch, two processing factories and a couple of real estate investments. Basically, their income was not coming from their pay check but rather profits of investments and that qualifies them to belong to the upper social class.Second ShowThere were two warring families in this show and both of them are best observed to belong to the lower class. That was a twist because rivalry is mostly expected among rich dynasties. Nevertheless, the family members hailed from backgrounds of peasant farmers.

There wasn’t a single asset they had except for the tiny parcel of land which they were fighting over. In essence, they lived for the day with no hopes of the survival if they were to stop working for a short period of time. The third showThis particular show featured two young stars that both came from average families; commonly referred to as the middle class category. The gentleman had a good house, two cars and a good job. The lady star on the other hand was a coming from a family where the father was a doctor and the mother, a professional teacher.

Financial struggles were evident once in a while with credit debts and mortgage settlements causing financial constraints. Their livelihoods were solemnly depended on their jobs.
