The research will involve locating literature about the research question. The literature entails prior investigations and researches that people did about the subject under study. The second strategy will be to subject a sample of the victims under close monitor to observe and identify the associated behavior modification. The study and analysis conducted reveals the link between IPV and alcoholism. The results, however, fail to provide the probability limits and certainty of the existing inherent relations. Further, researchers must show the percentage probability of IPV’s relationship to alcoholism among men.
The study by Hines and Douglas (2012) is not clear on the nature and extent of the IPV. The title does not reflect whether men or women contribute to IPV. The problem is practically important because it may lead to reduced exploitation of human labor wasted because of alcohol intake among men. IPV leads to homelessness and divorce which is a menace in majority of American states. States, therefore, should fund research aimed at investigating the causes and methods essential in preventing behavioral modification associating with IPV.
According to Kilpatrick et al. 1997, as cited in Hines and Douglas, 2012, two indicators approximate the frequency of consumption, viewed as a measure of drug abuse. Diagnostic interview was another method employed in the study and investigation of the existing relationship between alcoholism and IPV. Notably, the methods are not credible. The methods involve drafting and tabulating unreliable data that may cause design and implementation of misleading recommendations.
The study sampled two categories of male participants, an assisting category, and the society sample.
