For example, there is face book, twitter, LinkedIn, Skype, YouTube and many more. These have improved the lives of the people across the world because of the level of interrelationship that it has created. It has also promoted the development of the nation, improved security and has enhanced cultural values. However, the use of social media has resulted to decadence of morality in the society and other social evils. One of the most common social media being used across the globe is face book.

It has clients from all walks of life ranging from school children to adults. It has attracted people from both gender and profession. Mainly, people use face book to link with long time friends as well as create new relations (Adams, 2009). Although face book was started as a media to connect comrades in school, it has turned out to be a tool for communication across the globe by all people including non students. The main advantage of face book as a social media is that it offers opportunity for people to share anything they wish with their friends and relatives.

It is just amazing and a vibrant way of linking with the world. Social media such as face book has enabled friends and relatives to stay in touch with one another. People can share information through social media. People use any language they want to communicate with their friend. The talk about their family backgrounds, their encounters and plan the events which brings them together (Adams, 2009). For example, those who come from the same place are able to connect together even if they had never seen each other before.

Also, they can help those with various problems as a community hence this has promoted social ties. Through exchange of ideas and attendance of various social events, people are able to understand various ways of lives of their communities. Use of social media as a platform to reach all people across the global has promoted communal values. For example use of face book has promoted interaction among the people of a walks of lives. Once you enter into the sight, it gives a choice to connect with friends.

You just start with one friend and the media gives numerous alternatives to connect with others (Adams, 2009). The choice is yours because there is no limit to how many people you can interact with. It provides features such as exchange of photos and personal details. Also, it gives room for people to send instant text to their friends online. Therefore, with the use of face book and other social networks, there is an increase in level of interaction hence has promoted peace in the world. Through face book and other social media, people can exchange ideas and information online.

Regardless of the distance separating them, they can interact with each other any time. This has reduced the need for people to meet face-to-face. It has reduced the need for people to visit each other and they just assume that it is enough to share thorough internet. This has negative effect because to some extent, it is not easy to understand emotional feelings of people if you don’t interact with them physically (Adams, 2009). Therefore, this may result to emotional breakdown of some people.

Since this is a faster and cheaper method of communication, people forget the need to visit others and so this may build up gap a between close relatives. Through social sites such as face book, twitter and LinkedIn people can share many things about their community background. They also
